BWRL Laundry Service (“BWRL”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a digital laundry service platform that enables customers to request laundry and cleaning services, select or be matched with participating laundromats, arrange pickup and delivery, make payments, receive notifications, and track orders.

This Privacy Policy explains how BWRL collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the BWRL Laundry Service mobile application and related services.

By using BWRL, you acknowledge the data practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account and identity information

When you create or use a BWRL account, we may collect information such as your:

• Name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Account identifier
• Profile information
• Authentication and account-security information

Passwords and authentication credentials are handled through our authentication infrastructure and are not intended to be stored by BWRL in readable plain text.

Pickup and delivery information

To provide pickup and delivery services, BWRL may collect:

• Pickup and delivery addresses
• Street, building, area and landmark information
• Saved addresses
• Geographic coordinates associated with a selected address or pickup point
• Pickup and delivery instructions

Location information is used to determine whether participating laundromats can serve your area, assist with laundromat assignment, facilitate pickup and delivery, estimate relevant distances, and enable riders to fulfil orders.

Where device location permission is requested, BWRL requests access for functionality such as selecting or determining a pickup location. Users may also provide an address manually where this functionality is available.

Order and laundry-service information

We collect information relating to services you request, including:

• Selected laundromat
• Laundry or cleaning items and quantities
• Requested services
• Prices and order totals
• Pickup dates and time slots
• Order instructions
• Order status and event history
• Pickup and delivery information
• Completed and cancelled orders
• Customer support information
• Ratings, reviews or feedback you choose to provide

Payment and transaction information

When you pay for services, we may collect and maintain transaction information such as:

• Amount
• Currency
• Transaction reference
• Payment method category
• Payment status
• Payment provider reference
• Refund or reconciliation information

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers and mobile-money operators.

Sensitive payment credentials required by payment providers are intended to be transmitted to or handled through secure payment infrastructure rather than embedded in the BWRL mobile application.

BWRL does not intend to store full payment-card numbers, card security codes, mobile-money PINs, or similar secret payment credentials.

Device, application and technical information

BWRL may process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, which may include:

• Device and operating-system information
• Application version
• Push-notification tokens
• Session and authentication information
• Error and diagnostic information
• Network and security information
• Records necessary to detect abuse, troubleshoot problems and maintain service reliability

Communications

If you contact BWRL, a laundromat, rider or customer-support representative through supported communication channels, we may process information contained in those communications where necessary to provide support and fulfil your service request.

3. How We Use Information

BWRL uses collected information to:

• Create and secure customer accounts
• Authenticate users
• Provide laundry and cleaning services
• Identify available laundromats serving a customer's location
• Recommend or assign an appropriate laundromat
• Allow customers to select participating laundromats
• Display laundromat-specific services and pricing
• Schedule laundry pickup and delivery
• Dispatch riders
• Process and verify payments
• Create and manage orders
• Provide real-time order tracking
• Send transactional and service notifications
• Communicate important order changes
• Provide customer support
• Maintain transaction and order records

We do not use location information to independently track users for advertising purposes.

4. Location Information

BWRL may request access to location information where required for pickup and delivery functionality.

Location information may be used to:

• Determine the customer's pickup area
• Convert a selected address into geographic coordinates
• Determine participating laundromats capable of serving the location
• Calculate relevant distances
• Facilitate rider pickup and delivery
• Support delivery and service-area operations

Users may be able to provide addresses manually instead of relying on device location, depending on the feature being used.

BWRL does not intend to collect continuous background location from customers unless such functionality is introduced, clearly disclosed, and appropriate permission is obtained.

If this practice changes, this Privacy Policy and applicable in-app disclosures will be updated before the functionality is introduced.

5. How We Share Information

BWRL does not sell users' personal information.

We may share information only where reasonably necessary to operate the platform, fulfil orders, protect the service, or comply with legal requirements.

Participating laundromats

The laundromat fulfilling an order may receive information necessary to provide the requested service, such as:

• Customer identification or contact information where operationally necessary
• Order contents
• Laundry instructions
• Pickup/delivery requirements
• Relevant order status
• Payment confirmation or payment status

Partner laundromats should only use this information for providing and administering BWRL services.

Riders and delivery partners

Assigned riders may receive information required to perform a pickup or delivery, including:

• Customer name where necessary
• Pickup or delivery address
• Contact information where required to complete delivery
• Location information relevant to the assigned job
• Pickup/delivery instructions
• Order reference

Riders should receive only the information necessary for their assigned delivery task.

Payment service providers

Transaction information may be shared with payment processors, banks, mobile-money providers and related financial-service providers as necessary to initiate, verify, settle, reconcile or refund payments.

Technology and infrastructure providers

We may use service providers for infrastructure necessary to operate BWRL, including cloud hosting, database services, authentication, notification delivery, mapping/geocoding, application monitoring, communications and security.

These providers may process limited information on BWRL's behalf where necessary to provide their respective services.

Legal and regulatory disclosures

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law or a lawful government request
• Respond to valid legal proceedings
• Investigate fraud or security incidents
• Protect BWRL, our users, partners or the public
• Establish, exercise or defend legal claims

BWRL uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

No electronic storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. We therefore continually work to improve safeguards appropriate to the nature of information being processed.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Maintain your account
• Provide requested services
• Maintain legitimate order and transaction records
• Resolve complaints or disputes
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Meet accounting, tax, legal or regulatory requirements
• Establish or defend legal claims

Different categories of information may therefore have different retention periods.

When information is no longer reasonably required, it will be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise handled according to applicable legal and operational requirements.

8. Account and Data Deletion

Customers may request deletion of their BWRL account and associated personal information.

An account-deletion option will be provided within the BWRL application. You can also request account deletion through our account-deletion page.

When a valid deletion request is completed, personal information associated with the account will be deleted or anonymized unless particular information must be retained for legitimate legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, transaction, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes.

Where information must be retained, it will be retained only for the applicable purpose and retention period.

Google Play separately requires apps that support account creation to provide an accessible account-deletion mechanism both inside the app and through an external web resource. Google Help

9. Notifications

BWRL may send transactional notifications concerning:

• Order placement
• Order confirmation
• Rider assignment
• Pickup progress
• Laundry processing
• Order readiness
• Delivery progress
• Payment status
• Important service or account information

Push-notification tokens may be stored so these notifications can be delivered to the user's device.

Users can control applicable notification permissions through their device settings.

10. Children's Privacy

BWRL is not designed as a service directed specifically to children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental or guardian consent is legally required.

If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected contrary to applicable requirements, we will take appropriate steps to address or delete the information.

11. International Processing

Some technology providers supporting BWRL may process or store information on infrastructure located outside the user's country.

Where personal information is transferred or processed internationally, BWRL will seek to use appropriate safeguards and service providers consistent with applicable data-protection requirements.

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights concerning their personal information, which may include the ability to:

Device permissions, including location and notifications, can also be managed through the device's operating-system settings.

• Mobile-money transactions

BWRL evaluates its integrations and seeks to limit information shared with providers to information reasonably necessary to provide the applicable service.

We may update this Privacy Policy when BWRL's functionality, legal requirements, service providers or data practices change.

When material changes are made, we will update the effective or “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the application or another suitable channel.
